Mastering your PhD: 1st year event

In this one-time informal information event, you will meet the GSSE team, who will give you tips and ideas of what to pay attention to during the first stages of your PhD. You will also have a chance to ask questions on the FSE PhD training and meet your peers from other FSE institutes. The programme is as follows:

• Introductions; How to get started with your PhD at FSE
• Introducing the PhD Academy: which courses we are offering and how to register them
• Meet the PhD Council & UG Library
• Q&A, followed by informal drinks

The event starts at 15:00 and ends by 17:00.

The goal of Mastering your PhD is to support and empower you in taking ownership of your PhD project in a socially safe environment, and minimizing the typical difficulties and challenges you might face throughout your PhD trajectory.

If you take part in all three events of the "Mastering your PhD" course (1st year, 2nd year, 4th year), you can receive 2 ECTS. You can also take part in each individual event, even if you couldn't attend others. Find more information here.

Note that this event is FSE-specific, and therefore not overlapping with the PhD Introductory event, organised for all UG PhD candidates.
